Greetings from the WGGF 2026 Secretariat.

The GGGI–Pohang Private Sector Green Growth Project Workshop is designed to connect Pohang-based companies with international green growth and climate initiatives led by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). The workshop will serve as a platform for exploring collaboration opportunities between local businesses and emerging climate projects in developing countries.

Participants will gain insights into the Korean Green New Deal Trust Fund (KGNDTF) and GGGI's ongoing efforts to support green growth and climate action across developing regions. The workshop will also introduce priority project opportunities and country demands in Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Central Asia.

Key sectors of discussion include clean energy, sustainable industries, green transportation, circular economy, waste management, water resources, and other high-impact climate solutions. Pohang-based companies will have the opportunity to share their technical expertise and implementation experience while exploring potential areas for future international collaboration.

The workshop is intended as a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and early-stage partnership building, helping local companies better understand global green growth opportunities and identify pathways for future engagement with GGGI-led initiatives.

Through this workshop, the Secretariat and GGGI aim to identify the interests, needs, and technical capabilities of companies interested in participating in climate projects. 

Based on the outcomes of the workshop, opportunities will be explored for follow-up discussions between government officials and companies through a business meeting hosted by GGGI, which is planned for October.
